Afternoon Tea Party - Delicate Doilies Purse with Cards

If Only It Was Sunny

Today's share is what we made at my Tea Garden Party on Sunday which ended up being indoors because the weather wasn't cooperating. Some of the ladies attending came in style, with floppy hats and dresses looking super chic in their Sunday best.

Everything was pre cut, ready for assembling something nice and simple but oh so sweet.

After the class we enjoyed tea sandwiches and wonderful desserts ranging from cream puffs with delicious fillings, to my home made Chocolate Kahlua Delight. And for those watching there waistlines we also had individual servings of crudites and yogurt dipping sauce! Yummmmm Topping it off was ice cold pink lemon aide and tea!

Dunnet Head Scotland - Using the Open Sea

I love Scotland and I miss it terribly, today's post is using Stampin' Up's The Open Sea stamp set which I absolutely love and Rough Type.

Dunnet Head is the most northerly point of mainland Britain. Dunnet head lighthouse was built in 1831 by Robert Stevenson, grandfather of the author Robert Louis Stevenson. The stone used to create this beautiful lighthouse and its surrounding walls was taken by horse and cart 3.2 km overland from Brough Harbour.

The cliffs as you can see are high and the view is never ending sea, the wind was cool and fresh such a beautiful place to visit.

I love to stamp on my photos, I find it gives them a
more aged look and I love that look.

Tag made of linen material which I stamped on using The Open Sea stamp set
and Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink added a mini tag with the date and
year and key to round up the look

8 Years and Counting Happy Anniversary My Love

Today is our 8th Wedding Anniversary it is hard to believe that this much time has gone by, it does seem like yesterday when we got married. Though we don't see the changes in each other we do however see them in the children who helped us celebrate our special day. As each year goes by we see them grow into the beautiful women and man they are today.

Ashley who will be graduating from Guelph University next week is now 21, next is Alicia who is 20 and is at Algonquin, Katie who is also at Algonquin. Next is Matthew who is 17 finishing up High School this year, Kira who turns 16 this coming Aug is also in High School along with her sister Kaitlin who will be 14 and also in High School. And lets not forget Madison my sweet dear Madison the youngest of all just 2 when we got married who will turning 10. I still remember her running at the alter and her checking out Father Paul.

To my wonderful husband who is so supportive through everything and especially over this past year. Thank you for making each day fun, for putting up with my ways and for loving and supporting me you were certainly worth the wait.

This is one of my favorite portraits I took of my husband such a cute guy! Love you honey!

Check Out the Summer Issue of Canadian Scrapbooker

Hi Everyone

Just a short note today but this coming Tuesday will be our 8th Wedding Anniversary and what would make this day even more special? well being published in the new issue of Canadian Scrapbooker celebrating our wedding.

I am proud to say that I have been published, check out my scrapbook page on page 67 of the new issue of Canadian Scrapbooker. This is my first time being published in Canadian Scrapbooker and I am so excited. Of course the theme was weddings and it features me and my lovely husband JC on our wedding day. It was such a special day for us, and we love how our photographer like to play things up and had a good sense of humor.

Have you ever thought about submitting your work it is very easy to do and who knows maybe you will be featured in the next issue. Every magazine has there own way of doing things, for CS they list what they are looking for on there site see here. Follow what the requirements are and send them a picture. If you are picked you will need to ship the original piece for them to shoot but you will receive it back and a FREE issue of the publication as a thank you for submitting.

How fantastic is that.
